Exciting Opportunity for Indigenous Students: Land-Based Learning Summer Camps!

The AMDSB, in partnership with Indigenous Education Student Support Advisor Matt Baker, is excited to offer Indigenous students (grades 8-12) the chance to participate in Traditional Land-Based Learning Opportunities this summer.
 
What to Expect:
  • Outdoor and Land-Based Learning: When weather allows, we'll be outside engaging in traditional cultural practices and teachings.
  • Skill Development: Activities will include plant identification, tracking, bushcraft, drum making, beading, jewelry construction, leather work, fire making, flintknapping, and more!
  • Expert Guidance: Learn from guest Knowledge Carriers and Indigenous instructors.
 
Dates: July 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, August 6th, 8th, 13th and 15th.
 
Additional Information: Transportation, healthy snacks, and water will be provided.
